What could be more fun than a day full of hands-on activities in one of the largest interactive science centers in the US? With hundreds of hands-on, minds-on exhibits to explore, our birthday parties are sure to please your guests!
Choose your birthday package:
Package A, Basic Birthday Bash - $220
Includes all day admission for up to 20 guests, a decorated party space for 90 minutes, a complimentary t-shirt for the birthday child, one free parking pass and you bring the treats.
Add on a staff led demonstration for an additional $30!
Package B, Birthday Bonanza - $295
Includes all the features of the Basic Birthday Bash, PLUS a personalized cake, ice cream, unlimited juice, disposable place settings and a choice from one of our seven birthday party demonstrations.
Package C, Birthday Blowout - $410
Includes all the features of the Birthday Bonanza, PLUS kid-friendly party food (Your choice of pizza or hot dogs.)

Folding Directions
Step One: Once you've filled out all the invitation for your birthday party, hold the invitation horizontally. The square with the text "Join us for a birthday party for" should be right-side up in the upper right corner.
Step Two: Fold the paper in half, vertically (or height-wise), so that the fold ends up on the left. After folding, the only text visible is "Join us for a birthday party for" and "When, Where, Time, RSVP." (The blank side of the paper should now be facing each other.)
Step Three: Fold the paper in half horizontally (or width-wise). After folding, the text "You're Invited" will be facing you.
Step Four: Distribute your invitations to your guests and get ready for your birthday celebration!
Party decorations include red and blue table coverings, multi-colored balloon bundles and table confetti.

Increase your birthday party's fun factor by including one of our birthday party demonstrations. All demonstrations have been tailored to your child's age group.

Who doesn't love bubbles? This party is great for our youngest guests. Our expert "Bubble-ologist" will teach you the basics of bubbles and create mysterious moon bubbles and funny foggy bubbles!
Gross-Out Science
Experience a gross demonstration about what happens to your birthday cake and make fake boogers; this party is disgustingly fun!
Outer Space Meets Inner Astronaut!
3…2…1…BLAST OFF! Guests will enjoy building and launching their own miniature rockets.
Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream
Explore the amazing world of liquid nitrogen! Enjoy incredible demonstrations and some tasty liquid nitrogen ice cream.

OMNIMAX Film
Make your party the ultimate celebration by adding the OMNIMAX® Theater to your package for an additional fee. ($5.50 for children and $8.50 for adults).
Making Your Reservation
Call (216) 621-2400 today to save your date. Please make your reservation at least 3-4 weeks in advance of your party date. And remember, members of Great Lakes Science Center receive a $20 discount on a package.
Birthday party times are 10:30 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, and 3:30 - 5:00 pm. The Science Center does not furnish heating or cooling food storage. Coolers are permitted in the building with birthday parties. Due to safety issues, helium balloons are not permitted inside the building.
Goody Bags are also available through the Science Store.
Date Changes & Cancellations
When making your reservation, please note these important items.
All parties must be paid in full at time of registration. Once a reservation has been made, a $25 office fee will be charged for a change of date. Cancellations must be received 15 days prior to the party. A $75 deposit will be withheld.
Scheduled Hours
Great Lakes Science Center hours are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm daily. Because the museum closes at 5:00 pm, we recommend that hosts reserving a 3:30 pm party have their guests arrive early to enjoy the museum before the celebration.
Parking
Parking is available in our attached garage. Guests may have their parking ticket validated at the information desk for a discount off the standard parking fee.
Standard with each package, one parking voucher will be provided for the host family.
