Dear Friends,

The visitors and staff of Great Lakes Science Center are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support that allows us to provide fun, interactive experiences that stimulate curiosity about and increase understanding of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). As we look back on fiscal year 2012, we are proud to see the Science Center continuing to serve Northeast Ohio adults and children while making many strides forward to expand our outreach, exhibits, programming and importance to the community.

We invite you to download a copy of our annual Report to the Community which details these accomplishments.

We are very excited for the positive developments that 2013 holds, including a complete redevelopment of our NASA Glenn Visitor Center and a new introductory gallery to Great Lakes Science Center. We will unveil new, interactive exhibits examining the beginnings and future of space exploration, the rigors of living in space and research conducted by NASA at Cleveland’s Glenn Research Center. The new gallery will be completed by summer and will be complemented by hands-on experiments, activities and programs.

As we look to the future, Great Lakes Science Center is undertaking extraordinary new efforts to deepen our impact on every visitor, especially our youngest audiences, and invest in tomorrow’s scientific leadership and workforce.

Again, we thank you for your ongoing support and look forward to sharing our successes in the coming months.

Sincerely,

Donald B. Paterson
Interim President and Chief Financial Officer
